Construction and Project Update

construction-foundation footersEvery day there is something new and interesting to see from the windows at Sarah Reed Senior Living.  The corner of West 22nd and Myrtle in the City of Erie is bustling with activity.  Construction crews are making great progress on our expansion project.

Pictured here is the excavated footprint of the addition to Reed House, our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility.  Workers are currently laying footers for the foundation.

Project Scope:
 New construction of a 47,456 square foot addition to our skilled nursing facility
 Renovation of our existing skilled nursing area of 40,000 square feet
 Architectural firm is Weber, Murphy, Fox, Inc.
 Contractor is E.E. Austin & Son, Inc.
 Approximate cost $18,000,000
 Lender: First Niagara (tax exempt financing has been approved through the Erie County Hospital Authority)
Project Features:
 Private resident rooms & bathrooms with centrally located comfortable living & dining rooms
 Smaller, intimate, resident neighborhoods
 Enhanced Rehabilitation/Therapy Suite
 Private entrance on Myrtle Street
 Recreation facilities and outdoor courtyard
