COVID-19 Update 3/16/20

We know everyone is concerned about the prevention/spread of COVID-19.

We continue to update our policies and procedures each day.  Changes are coming in daily, so please understand that we are doing all we can to comply with the guidelines.  We realize this is hard on our staff, residents and families, but we are restricting all visitors to our facility. Exceptions will be made for family members of residents receiving hospice/end-of-life care.

We are working out procedures for those families that do laundry, medications or grocery runs for residents.  If you have any concerns, contact Carey Mastrian (878-2651) for Reed Terrace, Reed Manor and Zurn Pavilion, and the Social Workers for Nursing Home residents (Jeanne Espey, 878-2635, Brittni Collins, 878-2636).  The Activity department is working on providing visits and stimulation to our residents.  Staff is working diligently to provide interactions for residents since there are no group activities being scheduled.

For everyone’s protection, employees are being screened before starting work each day. Other essential personnel who must enter the facility (this includes doctors, maintenance personnel, essential deliveries, etc.) are being screened as well. Screening includes taking temperatures and assessing for symptoms.  We are doing our best to implement guidelines provided and ask for everyone’s patience.

Care Plan meetings will be conducted but it will not be done in person.  Our team will call to schedule phone conferences.

The beauty shops are closed.  Guests cannot dine at the facility.  In the Nursing Facility, we have eliminated communal dining.

All residents are encouraged not to go out unless absolutely necessary.  Everyone should be cautious about exposing themselves to large group events. People should stay home as much as possible and keep yourselves healthy.

The World Health Organization and CDC have many resources on their websites for additional information.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding.
