Care & Compassion
Skilled Nursing Care
Providing the highest quality of care with compassion, we take pride in the longevity of service and deep commitment of our staff to the well-being of our residents. Committed to continuous quality improvement, Sarah Reed regularly monitors policies and practices, educates staff, and routinely staffs above mandated state regulations.
Home to our Skilled Nursing Facility, Reed House was completely renovated and expanded in 2018, adding Private Resident Rooms, an enhanced Rehabilitation Room, Open Concept Living and Dining Rooms, and more. We have the capacity to house 102 residents in private rooms. Two shared rooms are available for couples, siblings, or friends wishing to room together. A dedicated wing for short-term rehabilitation provides service for residents planning to return to their homes in the community. A secured unit is available for residents requiring memory support and related care and activities.
We value our residents by offering a flexible lifestyle.
- Choice of physician and pharmacy
- Choice of activities
- Choice of sleeping and waking times
- Choice of dining time and location
- Choice to decorate and personalize room
Our team approach brings the physician, therapists, nurses, certified nurse assistants, dieticians, social workers, and therapeutic recreation personnel together to evaluate our residents and create an individual plan of care that incorporates our resident’s goals. With the resident’s permission, family input is welcomed.
Very often, rehabilitation therapies and a little extra care are needed after being in the hospital for an illness or surgery. Our Short Stay wing is ideal for those who are not quite ready to return home after a hospital stay. Our goal is to get you back home as soon as possible. Ask your hospital discharge planner to contact Sarah Reed for your Short-Term stay.
Sometimes being in one’s home is no longer an option. Our dedicated and caring staff provides the highest level of care. Residents are periodically evaluated for changes in physical and cognitive functioning. For our terminally ill residents, we offer compassionate end of life care, or we welcome your choice of Hospice provider.
Rehabilitation & Restorative Care
Physical, Occupational, Speech, and Respiratory Therapies are available to our long-term care residents when needed and ordered by their physician. Our Restorative Nursing Program delivers a protocol of exercises and routines to maintain the highest level of function.
Through meticulous monitoring and implementation of best practices in wound care, we strive to heal residents with the most complicated of conditions.

The therapy I received for my knee replacement surgery was great! I stayed in the Skilled Nursing Facility and everything was just great. Having a private room was so important to me.

Never did I think I could like living in a nursing home but I really do! After a heart attack and broken hip, I can no longer live alone. The staff here is so helpful, and my room is very comfortable! I especially enjoyed the physical therapy I received.
