The therapy I received for my knee replacement surgery was great! I was one of the first to stay in the new building and everything was just great. Having a private room was so important to me.”
Never did I think I could like living in a nursing home but I really do! After a heart attack and broken hip, I can no longer live alone. The staff here is so helpful, and my room is very comfortable! I especially enjoyed the physical therapy I received.”
When we walked in and saw the bright, spacious apartment we knew this was the place for us! We love the view from our apartment. Everyone here was so welcoming and made us feel right at home!”
There are so many activities that I enjoy. I love the music programs with Lois, dice games, Scrabble, adult coloring, special entertainments, intellectual pursuits, and volunteering in our library.
I love music — it takes all the stress and worries away. My favorite activities are listening to Lois play the piano, sing-a-longs, and the Never 2 Late programs with Camille. I really enjoy the Special Entertainments when they have Country singers, and I love it when they put on the Carnivals a couple of times of year!
I enjoy Bingo, the pets coming around — I love dogs, especially when they give me a kiss! Activities builds me up, they help to relax me, absolutely HAPPY — they give everybody a smile!
The activity programs help to pass the time of day for me- keeps me active. We anticipate the get-togethers no matter what it is. We try to welcome the new residents and invite them to come to activities!
Activities make me HAPPY! You meet a lot of nice people when you go to activities that you otherwise wouldn’t meet. We all enjoy getting together. Going to activities helps me physically and mentally to become stronger — they help me to cope with the daily problems that may come up.
My mother came to live at Sarah Reed 4 years ago. She enjoyed a studio apartment in Reed Terrace, and recently moved to the memory support unit. What I like about Sarah Reed is the continuum of services, integrity of the staff, and the attractiveness of the facility.
Mom feels safe, is well fed, and has a great rapport with the staff. She has friends, activities, and a place to worship without having to leave the building.
I visit 3 times a week and my mom and I enjoy the Silver Sneakers class together. We also play cards and visit. I always feel welcomed and enjoy volunteering when I can.
The exercise & breathing treatments here helped me recover from pneumonia. I have a lot of fun with the therapy staff. I’m happy to be going back to my apartment this week.
All of the therapists worked together as a team to help me and the other residents. My therapy was hard work, but I’m glad they encouraged me or I wouldn’t be going home today.
My studio apartment has everything I need and I can get help when I need it. Everyone here gives a lot of Vitamin H – that’s hugs!
